THE PARANOID was found by singer Igor Belaj and drummer Ondrej Hnat in 2002. There were several bass guitarists: Martin Vacho, Martin Krišák, later Roman Klčo and now Patrik Sýkora.

At first, singer Igor Belaj was also playing lead guitar, until they offered it to present lead guitarist Roman Birkuš. Then, in 2005 the band started to branch off, because it had its stable core. Bass guitar was played by Martin Krišák. They played a lot of concerts and made their own songs.

Lyrics are written by singer Igor and music was composed by Igor and Roman at first, but later the songwriting became the process in which the whole band parcitipates, because that way it moved to a whole new level. The constant problem with bassguitarist was reflected in canceled concert tours as well as in the songmaking because of arguments.

Roman Klčo joined the band in 2007 as a bassguitarist, because there were problems with former bassguitarist and there were major changes. Songmaking was fresh because of his ideas and the band gave lot of concerts and made its first demo. However he was forced to leave the band because of personal problems. At that time all the mebers felt, that there was a difficult period ahead because of the lack of good musicians in the region.

They searched for new bassguitarist for half a year without success. Everything suddenly changed at the moment, when they found Patrik Sýkora, who brought new wind and ideas with his talent and spontaneity. He fit in as fast as you can imagine.

In 2008 the band signed in BlastBeat competiton. They started to work hard on their own songs and made it to the national finals in the said competition in which they worked really hard and eventuallyu won. And now new possibilities are opening for the band and their dream si becoming true. Present band arrangement is very good and all the guys in the band believe, it is the last one.
