PR EXERCISE

The first show had a good turnout even with poor weather conditions. We sold $358 dollars worth of tickets and our show was a Battle of the Bands. The winner of the Battle of the Bands is the MMC we are promoting, Brandon Morel. People seemed to enjoy it and we made a good profit. We had no expenses since the school provided us with equiptment, space, and security.
The second show was a full house. We were over crowded and almost reached capacity. The show was a “Talent Show” with a handful of performers. We made a profit of over $700 for this show with great results and an enormous turn out.

We plan to donate 60% of the profit to help girls in Africa receive an education.

VIRAL MARKETING
We promoted the show through many different ways. We made sure the school was notified about each event and hung posters around school as well as handed out flyers. Teachers also promoted the event in their individual classes and encouraged their classes to attend. The production company also posted blogs and bullitens on Myspace and Facebook to inform people of the events. We also told people through Instant Messaging and Texting, in which we provided the address, the price, and a brief decription of the show. The day of the first show, we promoted the event at a basketball game being held at the school which attracted a lot of people.

Second show update!!

Here is our latest update of our seconod show which was on ..........

update

For this show there was no competition. meaning that we didnt have our acts compete witheachother . We simply had them showcase their talent of course we had our winner of battle of the bands perform in the show, but not only did we have him perform we had many diffent new talent persent themselves and prove themsleves. It seems that when Feel-X presented his talent it gave other people the chance to do the same. Starvision has learned that we have a school full of talent ranging from dancers ,singers, rapper, acters, and models. Next the choice will be tentimes harder to decided who our winner will be because they are all very good.

Interview With Feel-X

Tiarra: Whats your name, age, and how long have you been creating music?

Brandon: Brandon Morel aka Feel-X, Im seventeen, Ive been an artist ever since the age of six. I spent 11 years writing, 4 years making beats, and 5 years DJ-ing

Tiarra: What is your least favorite song that you created?

Brandon: Good Bye Forever

Tiarra: Why?

Brandon: A bad relationship brought me to writing this song, where I express a kinda angry hatred for my girl, telling her Im moving on, forget you and now we are back together, it makes things weird sort of.

Tiarra: What is your favorite song?

Brandon: Im sorry hip hop

Tiarra: Why?

Brandon: Its a record I can spill my soul on. How hip hop needs to change it expands their mind.

Tiarra: What songs are you going to perform for blast beat?

Brandon: Im Sorry Hip Hop
Get Buck
Kinda unsure for the third one I want to spread diversity across the map.

Tiarra: Why did you choose these songs?

Brandon: Im sorry Hip Hop, sounds so real Its my favorite song
Get Buck is a crowd pleaser, it takes everyone out of a depressing mode.

Tiarra: What do you think you can work on as an artist?

Brandon: (Long Silence)
Songs that are so depressing, also my attitude towards my listeners, my train of thought about them as if you like it, you like it. If you dont, you dont. ooh well.

Tiarra: If you win, do you think the transition from school to an artist will greatly affect you?

Brandon: NOT AT ALL, Ive been doing It forever, its me.

Tiarra: What message do you want to spread?

Brandon: I want people to feel my music to understand. NOT only my listeners but my artist also, there are too many socially irresponsible artists who can do better in the messages they portray.
