TEAM NEXT BIO

TEAM NEXT is a group of young guys predominantly from the northeast side of Austin.
LLYRIK (ANTONIO), T.A. (TRENTON ANTHONY), QYOUNG (DEQUINT HILL), and CEASE (MARTY TOBIAS). All members of TEAM NEXT are 18 years young, except for Marty who is 19.
THESE four young men started off as a dance team, all with their own individual talents and style of dance. The music talent lay dormant in them in the early days as they concentrated on their dancing. Wanting to be the best act in Austin, they soon began to incorporate singing and original songs into their performances. They knew that Austin was regarded as the music capital of the world, but perhaps not so famous for hip hop music. So, they set their sights on becoming the greatest multi-talented hip hop group ever to come out of Austin, Texas.
They combined their talents, and came out with their first single, entitled “LOWER”. This song swept the street and gave them a name, but that wasn’t enough. This group of talented artists wanted more shine than just a local following. So, they decided they would target different groups of listeners and incorporate more diverse lyrics into in their songs. They finished their first CD, “THE PRE-GAME WARM-UP”, and it sold very well to the local hip hop fans. You couldn’t go any where without hearing some one listening to the featured single, “LOWER, LOWER, LOWER”. They pushed and pushed, rehearsed and rehearsed. Eventually they had written enough songs for their second CD, which they called “ADDICTED TO THE GAME”. They felt this “mixtape” would be their best one yet, until they came out with what they believe now to be even better. Their recently completed 2008 Junior Mixtape “THE OVERDOSE”, was mixed and mastered by the group, with some help from 5th Street Studios, and producer-artist, “Black Mike”.
Now, TEAM NEXT feels they have the songs, the performance and the confidence to claim a national spotlight, and their place in the recorded field of Hip Hop. They only need to catch the attention of someone that can take them to the top.
