Louisiana Francis - Old style croonin'... Modern style
Initially formed in early 2007 for the purposes of a Leaving Cert exam, Louisiana Francis (shortened from "Thought Provoking Francis and the Louisiana Rhythm Machine") are currently writing original material, while developing a covers set for use at gigs and for the sheer craic of it.
Join our mission to re-establish beards, plaid, denim and leather!
As of now we don't have any studio recordings but that's set to change soon hopefully. In the mean time check out our Jam
Session (just us cuttin loose with some funk in practice), and our set from the Leinster regionals in the Voodoo Lounge.
Louisiana Francis is:
Gary O'Rourke: Vocals/Guitar/renegade
Tristan Carroll: Guitar/Vocals/power guitar
Conor Doyle: Bass/dynamics/percussive bass
Stephen Lynch: Drums/ambient distribution

Influences
born from the best of the blues, the LF is an expression of joy passion pain and destruction through the dramatic delivery of feel timing and melody.
in our music we attempt to pay homage to the great artits of time. from bb king to Black label soceity, from muddy waters to metalica we are not bound by genre.
As a band we atempt to create not only extremely passionate music, but also an amazing live show to blow the boundries and set your souls on fire

blastbeat leinster finals

got into the voodoo at bout eleven after a quick stop off for a few pints of cofee an some brekkie rolls.
the voodoo is a pretty cool set up. after we got our back stage passess from the uber cool blastbeat brothers an sisters, an i explained how i left the 20 odd tickets i was meant to bring at home, we got changed into our stage gear. plaid shirts dungaree's and some of the most ridiculous trousers ireland has seen since the last prince gig were maybe a bit over doin it, but the LF have always been slightly spinal tap.
thats when the fun started.
A very cool blastbeat brother brought us outside to take some photo's... read on >>
