About Us

HighWired first hit the scene in December 2006. Ever since then they have been causing somewhat of A stir in the local music scene. Big things are predicted for the Limerick five-some whos' fan base and media interest has been growing steadily around the country. In May 2007, HighWired won the Limerick heat of "The Jack Daniels Hardest Working Band" competition [The JD Set].

They recorded their Debut EP "Seem Familar?" in April '07 with Owen Lewis at his studio in Killaloe. Owen is now working in Grouse Lodge Studios in Co. Westmeath with the likes of Snow Patrol, REM, and Flogging Molly to mention a few. They released it in front of a sold out Dolans [Upstairs], on the 17th of November '07 after much anticipation and a long hard year of production and promotion.

The band have played with many up and coming bands and artists including a short tour with Irelands famous Aslan, and hope to play with many more as time goes on.
