The Lisbon Treaty - Journalist.
2 months agoHi everyone,
Please don't be turned off by the title of this article! I know that this topic seems to be going on and on and probably on again after Thursday. I am now a Sinn Fein supporter, and as you probably have guessed by now that I am hoping for a resounding 'no', I hope that people who are over 18 and are eligable to vote, value this right and vote for what they think is right.
I am a very political boy. I believe strongly in things that are close to my heart. I understand the Lisbon Treaty to a large extent and I've had to sit my family down at home and explain it, as they don't understand the bloody thing! Unfortunately, a lot of adults who don't understand politics are still able to vote and make decisions for people who are not able to vote and can understand politics.
The reason why the whole debate has gone completely do-lah-lee is because famous political names are out there to destroy each other by using personal vendettas in their arguments! I don't think that the public care whether Enda Kenny is a devout Catholic, whether Brian Cowen can speak both Irish and English at the same time while singing strange songs to his Offaly natives, whether Eamonn Gilmore shouts at every minute mistake in the Dail, whether Mary Harney is a bad Minister or not or whether Gerry Adams has a rather distinct accent. My point is that people need to know what they are voting for or against and don't need to listen to all this constant riff-raff. Politics is about policy and not about personality. It is not how nice or evil a politician may be, it is about how good he/she is at being a politician.
I do believe that Ireland has benefited from Europe greatly but like Sinn Fein, I believe we can do better than this already-negotiated deal!
C ye all for now,
Gregg.

Yes!
3 months agoI can't believe that we won! I was kind of getting worried when I saw the other companies' stands in Dublin on Saturday because they were really good. It was amazing watching all the bands play and to be honest with ye, they all blew me away. What a great day out! I would do anything to return back to the day again. I never knew that I would enjoy the Blastbeat experience until I entered and wow, what a year! I hope that I'll be able to stay on with Audio Circus next year, representing them in Europe, because I've learned a lot about myself this year and want to grow more in this wonderful business world.
C ye later,
Gregg.

3 months agoHi folks,
The anticipation for the big day is almost over. We are under 48 hours from seeing what will happen this year in Dublin.
C ye all there,
Gregg.
Oops!
4 months agoSorry folks,
I was supposed to be selling tickets on Paul Street today but of course, everything goes ruddy wrong! Apparently some members of my company have already sold most of the tickets. Once again, I'm like totally behind the times.
Here's to wondering,
Gregg.

Mucky's Wall.
5 months agoHi folks,
Mucky's Wall are a fantastic band and I've also heard from some of the other members of Audio Circus (I know, I've mentioned my great company again.....ah sure, what the hell!),that they are really sound out. I personally am delighted that we are promoting such a great band with an amazing amount of enthusiasm and sublime talent. If ye are reading this blog lads, I and the rest of Audio Circus can't wait to work with ye. Good luck on April 6th.
Talk to ye later,
Gregg.
What a Gig!
5 months agoHi folks,
I really enjoyed last Sunday, the 16th. It was a wonderful gig, with some of the best bands in Cork getting involved. I was put in charge of the candy-floss and popcorn, which we were giving out for free with the always friendly to you no matter who you are, Lisa. I had the experience of standing in the middle of a mosh-pit with two containers of open candy-floss, offering it out. I had to do this, by the way. People were looking at me as if I had two heads, and rightly so......Why is it always me who finds himself in these positions?

Audio Circus.
5 months agoHey.
This is the first blog that I've written on my profile.
However I've written loads on Audio Circus's profile, my Transition Year Blastbeat mini company. If you're into boring profiles like mine, stick with it but I'd strongly advise ye all to check out Audio Circus's profile. It should not be missed. Don't clown around.
Thanks,
Gregg.
