About Us

Formed in the summer of 2005 by Jack broughan and David bowen who in turn recruited Mark fenny and later joined by Owen moinehan and later joined by debbie bouse in august of 2006.Blue iris mixes elements of indie,grunge,experimental,blues music blue iris currently are based in carrigaline co.cork.Our name was created by mark fenny one day while in the back of sience class.

Influences

Blue iris draws its influences from many types of media but in bulk from music on a whole.Musically our influences vary greatly from member to member eg:
Dave(bass and guitar):alice in chains,nirvana,soundgarden,pearl jam.
Jack [bass/guitar]:Radiohead,Muse,Queens of the stone age,Interpol and the secret machines.
Mark (lead guitar):Rory Gallagher,Jimi Hendrix,Stone roses,pink Floyd and Bell X1.
Owen (drums):John Bonham,Nick Mason,Audioslave and Black Sabbath.
