Death Do Us Part were formed in late 2007 with the joining of Muller Van Niekerk (vocals) and Josh Edwards (bass). The two were old friends and met again at a gig where they started to discuss forming a band. They then asked good friend Julian Adshade (guitar/vocals) to join them. The three (still without a drummer) started jamming and wrote their first song and realized that they had the potential to be more than just a garage band having an odd jam session.

After a seemingly endless search for a drummer that lasted over three months, they met Byron Hillson, which finally completed the bands sound but there was something missing. After about a month the band realized that things were not going to work out with the Byron and the search began again. Finally at the start of 2008, friend Matthew Hutton (former Revenge By Dawn drummer) offered to play for the band. After the first practice with Matthew they were amazed at his skill and talent and also his incredible passion for music.

The band members all have their own unique influences and style, come from completely different backgrounds and this helps us to bring a unique sound across.We would classify ourselves as a Screamo/Alternative/Metal. Death Do Us Part has become a tight unit which will grow from strength to strength as we all have a great passion for our music and love to entertain people who enjoy our music as much as we do.

The first round of the the pulse band fight for 2008 showed us just how much support we have from our fans. We won the preliminary round on crowd votes which has inspired us to go further.
