About Us

Well Colm and his main man Ross decided to start a band because of the pathetic music scene in Drogheda and also to try something to what they were already doin in other bands(Caelum And Fuze). It all started one day in religion class 54 when Ross sent Colm an elaborate letter explaining (amongst other tings like how much he loves the cock) how very much he would love to start a band of some sort with Colm. Thankfully for our present and everyone elses future Colm decided to ignore the penis remarks and join the purposed musical institution. Colm and ross decided, "The Motherfunkers" was an ideal name and armed with this identity went on the hunt for a drummer. No stone was left unturned in this search which took the lives of many innocents. "Ooops" Summed up wot Ross and Colm felt. Anyway we found a little drummer boy called Cillian after turning down many high profile candidates for the job. Cillian ia a legend and as well as playin drums also satisfies ross' rather embarrassing needs which takes some of the strain off the frankly overworked Colm. Unfortunatly Colm and Ross parted ways with Cillian because of musical differences. All hope was not however lost Colm and Ross continued mwrittin tunes and found a drummer Chase Madhatter otherwise known as Brian Bannon to play d drums whenever the need for them arises. Now a trio "The Motherfunkers" will b seen near u soon playin or perhaps killin some children, women and grannies. Watch out.

Influences

Well we planned to play funk but as its turned out were playin a sort of mongrel halfbreed style of dat genre! As we dont listen to any mongrel funk or any funk at all we have no real influences on our d music we play! Were probably rippin off so many bands tho so listen to us and make up ur own mind.
