Biography

Blue Syndrome is a 4 piece rock band from Dublin. After coming runner up in the Blast Beat Competition in 2007, they have now finished recording their debut album, which will be released early next year.

Their long awaited single "Kiss the Girl", with its addictive chorus line and heavily satisfying and tasteful verses will be released in September/October of this year. This song is an almost guaranteed stepping stone for the band to show of their talent and to get the recognition they have been working for for over 3 years now.

Within the last year, Blue Syndrome have played many of the major venues in Dublin's city, including the world famous Vicar St.

"Tomorrow I'll Be Gone", a dreamy acoustic driven song, gained the band a lot of support being the highest downloaded song from the Coke iTunes Blast Beat promotion with over 38% of the downloads. This amazing start to the bands release run has given them the confidence to do what they do best.

Blue Syndrome's live performances are packed full of energy. The crowd are very rarely let down and are left singing their hugely contagious song "Kiss The Girl" long after the band have stopped playing.

Colm, the singer of the band says, "It is unreal to hear that chant continue especially since we left the stage over an hour ago and two of the bigger bands have been and gone since then. It really boosts our hopes for this competition".

Colm's voice, cuts through the bands loud and powerful guitar driven music and stands its own as one of the best young voices to embrace the stage in a long time. It is however something the band fails to capture in the studio. As great as his voice sounds on recordings, it never lives up to the sheer power and presence we experience in a live performance. That is not to say he lets us down on the recordings, it’s just a tamer version of the voice of Blue Syndrome.

Guitarist, Stephen O'Loughlin, brother to singer Colm, really pushes this band out among the rest with his cool guitar riffs, excellent energetic stage presence, and killer sweeping guitar solo in one of the bands songs, "Just Another Day".

Backing vocalist to the band, the relationship between himself and his brother comes across so well in the band. The pair are unbelievably tight and when their voices join together for that few seconds of harmony you can't help but smile and envision yourself being a part of something special. The two play off each other so well live. There is not just one frontman in this band, there is most definitely two.

Tom Lamude, originally from Essex, is known for his in the zone drumming. He always puts on a show and you can see his involvement with the music he plays. This drummer, still with a lot to learn is tight. He is not afraid to push the boundaries for himself and try new things and when he's on form he is one of the best drummers of his kind in Ireland. He can sometimes be considered a great feature to the band, driving the songs and pushing them beyond their limits. He can sometimes be simplistic, but its simplicity to the extent that it's still very creative and does not ever compromise what the song is about.

Bobby, the mysterious character in the band, has always been portrayed as a shy character that can never really be understood on stage, but the girls love him. For the onlooker his confidence seems to get the better of him as he fails to interact with the band when performing. He keeps to himself and shows no sign of weakness. But as he walks off the stage, his state of mind changes into someone who could be considered a little less then ordinary. Having said that, his part in the band is huge, working as the perfect blend between rhythm and melody. Bobby's bass lines keep the song consistent and when given the chance to explore areas of the song that he can put his touch to, he dives for it and takes it.

Blue Syndrome is a band to look out for in the future. They still have quite a lot to learn but to watch them learn it is something a lot of people will want to be interested in.

Hey guys,

We are happy to say that Kiss The Girl is almost ready for your listening pleasure. The song has gone through mix after mix after, causing tension between a lot of people but we have now come up with the final mix of it. It sounds much better then we had originally hoped!
We can't wait for ye to hear it!!!
We'll also be doing a video for it soon enough. It was planned for this weekend but because we're a bunch of divas we decided to push it back a bit so that we can put all our ideas together and make it look awesome.
Bob's back from Spain this weekend. He got off the plane when he got there and he was greeted by a tall dark stranger who said to him that " Tomorrow I'll Be Gone " sounds amazing... read on >>
