Thanks for the wishes. The gig went well. Lots of improvements from last year. Ben - Nevis got number 1 spot on the MK tv top 10 Charts. The organisation was good. Lights were amazing

The gig went great. We didn't get through, but as the say its the hard times that make you stronger lol. I think we played very well. Everyone i asked seemed to enjoy our set and liked the new materal, we also gave out all of our flyers.
Yea we've mad a few lil changes but they have made a huge difference. In September we are going to realease our first CD "Books, Lyrics, and Dates". Been in and out of the studio all summer, and we have 11 songs recorded. Also the BBC want us to play a session in the Black Staff Studio in Belfast on November 7th. They also wanna make a music Video for us. Then there is our very own Video which we have story boarded ourselves. Its for our song "Go for it Honey!" its going to be used in an Anti-Domestic Abuse add campeign.

Hey Robert, any idea if Blast will be putting on more Back to School gigs this September? We've been locked away writing new songs and improving our live set so we couldn't enter LA or Busk but we'd really love to be on the bill for the next non-competitive Blast because we had so much fun playing the last one.

Hey Robert, just letting you know that NYC's first Blastspace live event went off without a hitch yesterday!! I think we had some of the best talent we've ever showcased. Great! After our show July 5th we have about 3 more shows lined up for the rest of the summer. We're collaborating alot with people involved in the NYC underground music scene to promote ourselves as well as our bands. We set some goals in place and now we are ready to be a true company - seeing as this is what most of us want to do when we are adults anyway :]

I uploaded 2 new videos last Friday (around 18:00).
They played fine then, but don't play now. I figured that it must've been because the video hosting site changed from VideoEgg to Kaltura.
So i uploaded on of the new videos just now, It plays fine, BUT it won't let me edit the name or the description of the video. When i click 'Edit Title' or 'Edit Description' - it does nothing.
I've also tried to change it from different computers, but still nothing.

So we have just finished with the finals, and although the new team did not win, we are now collaborating with them to put on a schools out show. We really want to continue as a company and continue puttingon shows with all these great young bands. We are also trying to raise money so that we can send the band that represented us at the finals (The Mighty Handful) to Ireland, because we belive that they should have been chosen as the winner. Rob, to be honest with you this is how I feel... In today's world, I feel that only bad press concerning teenagers is reaching society’s ears.. Every few days we see and hear about tragic teenage murders, heartbreaking teenage suicides, and unsociable thugs roaming streets intimidating all they find.. I fear that teenagers are becoming stereotyped, and the good that is inside each young adult is being lost among a sea of bitter news..
Then like a phoenix from the ashes along came Blastbeat! Blastbeat has opened the door of opportunity for us teenagers! Now people see that we are able to contribute towards society in a positive and helpful way. We had great fun, sadly we lost, But I just want to say a big thank you for all your help, and making our experiences much better. We've submitted our business plan, sorted out everything for the 'Hazardous Vibrations Musician Audition' happening on 10 May 2008.
We're now moving our focus onto promotion and planing of the 'Hazardous Vibrations Musician Competition' (our Battle of the Bands event. All seems to be going well and the BlastBeat team here seems to be very happy with our progress.

Yea we've mad a few lil changes but they have made a huge difference. In September we are going to realease our first CD "Books, Lyrics, and Dates". Been in and out of the studio all summer, and we have 11 songs recorded. Also the BBC want us to play a session in the Black Staff Studio in Belfast on November 7th. They also wanna make a music Video for us. Then there is our very own Video which we have story boarded ourselves. Its for our song "Go for it Honey!" its going to be used in an Anti-Domestic Abuse add campeign.
Very exciting times on the Avenue.

We're collaborating alot with people involved in the NYC underground music scene to promote ourselves as well as our bands. I uploaded 2 new videos last Friday (around 18:00).
They played fine then, but don't play now. I figured that it must've been because the video hosting site changed from VideoEgg to Kaltura.
So i uploaded on of the new videos just now, It plays fine, BUT it won't let me edit the name or the description of the video. When i click 'Edit Title' or 'Edit Description' - it does nothing.
I've also tried to change it from different computers, but still nothing.

So we have just finished with the finals, and although the new team did not win, we are now collaborating with them to put on a schools out show. We are LoOnEy TuNeS!!!!!!...A MMC taking part in the BlastBeat competition....We have a fantastic band called No Tomorrow....unfortunately they didnt automatically get through to the Nationals....but they are seriously talented!!!! i just wanna say like a HUGE thank you(just incase i furget later) for blastbeat in general...not only is it the only reason i go into school but its completly changed my mind about what career i want to go into..i want to set my sights and goals higher
its been the best part of ty and iv come out of it with more confidence and frends!
All the Breakout Beat girls are like my family now and im so glad i went to the world finals on the 12th of january other wise i wouldnt of started it in my school! we also did alot of promotion in lucan so youll be hearing of alot more lucan schools next year i hope

Hey Rob, sorry to hear about the death in your family. I really wish you had of been there to enjoy the day with us. We had great fun, sadly we lost, But I just want to say a big thank you for all your help, and making our experiences much better. The team an I have a great time setting up the gigs, listening to the music, a battling it out with the other record companys. We will be there in Dublin on the 17th, bigger and better, more joking, more laughing, and more prepared.

Multimedia Manager and Online Promotions and Content Manager (though i didn't create our dedicated website, another company member, Quinton did) I handle all our online identities (Facebook events, profile group, Blastspace profile etc.) , do some design work, video work (new videos will be up shortly) and help with lots of other stuff 
Our gig is on 26 June - so hopefully you'll be able to come along to that. If you have time we'd also love you to come along to one of our meetings so that we can show you a presentation of our work and you can see how we operate...

Thought you might like a quick update on one of the MMCs from South Africa.
We've submitted our business plan, sorted out everything for the 'Hazardous Vibrations Musician Audition' happening on 10 May 2008.
We're now moving our focus onto promotion and planing of the 'Hazardous Vibrations Musician Competition' (our Battle of the Bands event. All seems to be going well and the BlastBeat team here seems to be very happy with our progress.

It has yet to be discussed and ratified in a meeting, but would it be okay if we make a new blastspace site purely for the purpose of putting our new blogs on it.
It's just that our site has become very slow due to the quantity and it would be much easier if we had a special "blog" site for Surreal Sounds.
If we aren't allowed or if it is too much hassle for you to read them and then survey our site it's fine but it's just a suggestion because it is driving myself and a few others mad!
