Lots and Lots of new bands online on blastspace.com ,Myspace etc and at Blastbeat gigs. I am the president of Blastspace records so i am always on the look our for a great band or artist. My favorite music is Live music of whatever as long as it's good - I especially love all ages gigs as they have the best energy and fun atmosphere - and thats where I am most likly to find real raw talent that we can help most.So I see lots and lots of live bands, more than most people.
I especailly love the '60 music for its great pop sensibilities e.g. The Beatles, The Stones, The Kinks, The Beachboys, The Birds, Bob Dylan, The Mamas and Papas, Jimmy Hendrix, The Doors, etc etc
I liked the 70's for Dave Bowie and then for starting the punk revolution, the eighties for some electronica and bands like the Cure, the nineties for grunge and more recently the whole pop punk all ages vibe its fantastic and the best fun. I listen to a lot of Alternative music in all its forms, but also really enjoy classical music and jazz..to chill out to..
Si- Fi, Period films, the Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and a hundred others..
blastspace1 has no band events listed.
How to End of Poverty and Save the Planet ...using Blastbeat as one of the important vehicles for this...
I have compiled the following from my own observations and articles in numerous publications and philosophies with reference and quoting liberally from the works of Jeffrey D Sachs, author of The End of Poverty and professor of The Earth Institute at Columbia University in his recent Time magazine article on the subject,ex president Bill Clinton's recent writings, from the writings of the founder of Ashoka, Bill Drayton, from the teachings of Dhamma and the Art of Living by S N Goenka amongst many personal observations and experiences working with young people across the globe.
These are all vital influences on my own philosophy and belief that we can effect change soon and well enough to save the planet and our civilizations from destruction so this is an entirely positive look at how we can do it... read on >>
