About us
Apollion are a young metal band from Derry, Northern Ireland. They began with innocent riff writing and guitar practicing between guitar duo Niall O Doherty and Rory (Brinjer) Smyth in late 2006, which progressed to the formation of a band. There were plenty of line line up changes throughout 2007, with breakups and reformations, and now after finding our a fixed line up,we are back to, ahem, rock your world in quite a gentle way...
With the addition to the guitarists there has been Matthew (Monty)Montgomery on gutteral vocals, Brian Smyth on bass guitar, and Clarke Campbell behind the drums.
Apollion fuse melodic guitar lines with precision machine gun rhythms and varied styles, and are influenced by everything from emo to tech metal to neo-classical.
We're currently looking for any metal/rock gigs available and are happy and comfortable playing anywhere in any lineup...
We hope to see you at some of gigs headbanging, moshing and fuckin' shit up!

6 months agoPhil Adair has left the band for undisclosed reasons. Crimson Bleeds Regret/China White drummer Clarke Campbell is assuming the arduous role of pummeling percussion from now onward

The Regional Finals are soon approaching!!! With some of the most impressive band showcasing their tallents it looks as though it will be an amasing gig!!! With two of our own band's ,Spitvalve and Mucky's Wall' among two of the very talented line up!!!So if you just so happen to be in Cork this weekend please come and check out our bands!!!With already a staggering amount of interest there is sure to be a great turn out!!It's taking place this Sunday the 6th of april in The Halfmoon Theatre in Cork City! Tickets are €12 on the door and €8 with a flyer!!! So grab a cople of friends and head down to the Halfmoon Theatre and show your much appricated support!!!
