review of home star runners gig in the half moon theatre cork.

the gig began slowly, a small crowd, everyone textin' that blast space message along before paying. the smaller stage of the half moon was used, the front half. the first bands were very good! given that there wasn't much of an audience there at the start. overplay and KVX go the crowd stirring a bit especially with overplays cover of 'misery business' (sung very well!) and some muse covers. KVX in there halloween outfits obviously dressed to impress with the whole pajamas thing happn'in!
Home Star Runner were amazing, they had a very clear, good sound coming outta those amps and they performed exquisitely! by this time there was a huge crowd! people flocking in and they loved it. the band were taking there job very seriously, they know their doing all this for a bit of success rather than pure craic. i don't know how they could breath though! lead singer stephen was wearing so many clothes! yet still hung onto those perfect notes.
there new hits 'game over' and 'go get'm joey greco' got the crowd bouncin. and some old ones went down well. rob stevenson was there fathering the boys as he does, taking hundreds of pictures!! all can be seen on blast space photos (gotta get the word in there!) unfortunately i left a bit early so i missed the impressionist but luckily their videos are posted everywhere so i heard them! im so sorry hat i missed fade to flame though! a brilliant band to second them in there album opening gig. alas.. i had t go trick'r treating some time.

the boys of Home Star Runner were great in at halloween and deserve every triumph and praise. thanks for reading!
