About Us

Unique is the name of our band. We consist of 2 males and a female (2 singers and a rapper). We mainly sing R&B music. We have been working together as a band for 4 years and have written and produced all of our own material. Some of which we have recorded. ALthough our name states that we are a unique band, we truely are...we don't use any instrument which makes it a lot harder but we produce our own beats and perform with a backingtrack on cd of the beats. Flavia our female singer, Proud the male singer and Lee our rapper. We have all worked so hard together as a team for many years and have done numerous competitions and concerts. Our biggest one yet to come is on January 13th, GOspel music comes to ireland and we are all performing as individuals with some of the most famous gospel and R&B singers such as T-Bone and Manafest. ALthough we work together as a band we also work solo which can be diffucult with some bands as it may get competitive. However, we are very close friends so this is not the case. Individually Flavia works on all kind of music ranging from Jazz to R&B, Pop to soft rock and Gospel music. Proud works more with R&B and lee continues to practise his rapping skills. We have a very unique look and we feel that image is an important aspect of a band. Flavia is Italian/American, Proud is South African and Lee is SOuth African/Italian. We are a hard working band with a lot of potential and Drive to reach the top.

Influences

We all have our own influances Proud admires Usher very much as he dances and sings, these are what Proud strongly excels at. Flavia is influenced by a number of artists as she sings many types of music. Cassie, Whitney Houston, Aleesha keyes, Kelly Klarkson, Nina Simone, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera and many more.
