About Us

Citing influences ranging from Talking Heads to Franz Ferdinand, San Salvador proudly produces a sound that raises a glass to older favourite artists and groups gone by whilst fitting in with the contemporary fasad.

The band appeared on RTE's rock music special "JAM" (rte.ie/jam) in 2005 in which they worked with Steve Wall (The Stunning, The Walls) as a mentor. Steve has faithfully stayed in touch with the band and did a recording session with them which will be followed up by more recording and mastering.

The band do various gigging in the Dublin/Wicklow area, one prominant show being The Immediate's support act in Whelans. They are currently recording in The Factory, Dublin.

1. THANK YOU!

A big thank-you to everyone who supported us at The Acadamy yesterday- we were pleased with the feedback to our new song "Sharks" and chuffed to have gained a lot of new fans who took interest. Was great to have met some of you, and hope we see you again soon. The money you paid will go to children in need in Uganda; a special thank-you must be said to all the bands who competed and even more-so to the organisers, the "Break the Silence" team.
