About Us
Hi. We're KVX. We're a band. (YA RLY.)
Eimear, Ciara and Niamh first jammed in January 2005, when they first started playing their respective instruments. Leah and Daire joined in March of the same year to complete KVX.
Since then we have been writing, gigging, giggling, practicing, drinking tea, practicing, writing, doing other cool stuff, and generally just being lovely.
In November 2005 KVX took part in RTE's Jam, a week long rock school for three bands all aged under 16.
Since Jam we've been gigging regularly, writing loads, and, it has to be said, drinking loads of tea. We competed in Blast:Beat 06 and got as far as the semifinals in Vicar St with Criminal Records of BCS. twas craic!
We've just finished recording our debut EP, which we're selling at gigs and in Plugd Records, Washington St., Cork. It's got four tracks and is E4. Coincidence? I think not.
We're on bebo and myspace as well... But we're not gonna tell you the links. Think of it as a game of "Where's Wally", except more like "Where's KVX", and possibly without jumpers quite as stripy...

Last night, and two weeks from now... Hup.
4 months agoHey all!
So last night marked our first live adventure of 2008... and it was lovely :D It was a free gig in Fred's for Briona (ladyfest lady extraordinaire) and her buddy Rosie's birthday. There was a very positive buzz around the night, despite doors being a big more delayed than people had expected - sorry about that! But yeah, we had a good crowd for our set - loads of friendly faces i must say and massive thanks to everyone who came along to lend an ear. Big up to KEN for knowing all the words.. i told you you'd get a mention :P Also big up to Sea Area Forecast for being unreal - hadn't seen them before and thoroughly enjoyed our set. Also hope is noise, even with only enough time to play four songs, they ensured everyone left the place with big happy grins on their loevly faces. Lovely.
Anyone see Glen on Tubridy tonight? I was distracted mid-blog to watch the interview himself and Marketa did for it - inspiring stuff... read on >>

The Regional Finals are soon approaching!!! With some of the most impressive band showcasing their tallents it looks as though it will be an amasing gig!!!
