Ok, after 6 months of school heats the line-up for the Munster Regional Final have been announced! The line-up is...

The winner of this round will go through to the National Final in Tripod in Dublin on May 17th.
The runner up will go through to the National Semi-Final during the day in Tripod for a chance to play again that night in the national final.

The winning band gets the opportunity of a record deal and will represent Ireland in the Blastbeat World Finals in Tripod in Dublin in December 2008.


Ok so here's the story. I was in the winning band of Blastbeat 2004. From that, I got to know the president and International Director of Blastbeat/Blastspace, Robert Stephenson. I got a job working at the gigs in Cork, and then this has led on to this. It's a big committment, but this is an excellent programme and definately one worth working for! There's a great team at Blast and I hope all the school involved have a fulfilling experience!
