In 2005 Hybrasil were selected for the IMRO Showcase, Bud Rising Festival and played in the Olympia as part of the Hard Working Class Heroes festival.
Since then they have played with acts such as The Sultans of Ping, Republic of Loose, Delorentos, Director The La's and The Chalets.
The band have released two limited edition EP's (one each in 2005 and 2006) both of which were well received in media circles and got extensive national airplay.

All of which was but a dress rehearsal for this years full on assualt on the Irish music scene as Hybrasil launched their debut album "THE MONKEY POLE" on September 7th.
As part of the biuld up to the album launch Hybrasil released their first single called "God Bless The Devil" which went to number two in the Phantom FM airplay charts.

A five piece from county Wicklow, Hybrasil have been a familiar name on the gigging scene, imressing everyone on the way with their beat driven power pop.
However nothing that their live shows have offered so far can prepare one for the aural delight that their debute The Monkey Pole throws up, for this is without doubt one of the best albums from these shores in years.

There is a mastery at work here as repeat listenings to pop nuggets like We Got Music, God Bless The Devil, When I'm Yawning - I could actually list every song here - and the brilliant new single San Fran prove.
The key is the attention to detail.
Every track is littered with hooks, both subtle and sledgehammer but theres more.
It sounds great.
