About Dead Mans Amp

The band was created within a group of mates who played for the same basketball team and had different musical abilities. The music was just a fun thing, but after the first band practice we realized that we weren't half bad, so we decided to go for it and try to become a proper band. Thats when the song writing started within the group. The were a few name changes at first, and a few singers joining then leaving but for now i think the band has a set number of members.

Josh(Drummer)
Emma(Lead Vocals)
Dougies(Lead Guitar)
Monkey(Rhythm / Part Lead Guitar)

The band started only in late march, early april of 2008, so we're still getting to grips with how we should do things, but we're moving swiftly along finding things easy enough.

Hopeful to get our first gig this summer in somewhere small and local to test our abilities in front of a small crowd before aiming higher and taking part in competitions cross country.

Band Influences

Each band member has individual influences, Monkeys is the great band MUSE. . . Dougies ranges from numerous bands including Metallica. . . Josh's influences are Snow Patrol.

Overall the band was mainly influenced to take things seriously by some local bands who seem to be doing well and making a name around N.I for their music. Of course its the bands such as Illicit and the Audiables.
