Bannerbea ts was formed in September of 07 as part of the Blast Beat mini company competition. It was run in conjuction with our enterprise programme. We have 20 TY students in the company and piles of friends who are always dere t giv us a hand and we would not be successful if it wasnt 4 them!!!!

This is our offical Mission Statement;

We are a group of TY students,
from Scoil Mhuire in Ennistymon Co.Clare,
who have a keen interest in music,
and are actively involved in a social enterprise to benefit the youth of our community and youth in communities less fortunate around the globe.
We have set up a mini-company,
named BannerBeats,
which aims to promote local artists and to raise money,
and donating 25% of our profits to a deserving charity.
our charity of choice to donate our 25% to is the Burren Chernobyle Project a very good cause that does amazing work

Congrats to marble chips who came 2nd in the regionals and are now through to dublin

...Unfortunately Marble Chips will no longer be able to attend the National Finals of BlastBeat (we'll be the stand without the band!) but we will still b supporting the guys in the gigs they are doin over the summer and our company will still be there takin part!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you all know we held it in Teach Ceol Ennistymon on Dec 15th. Congratulations to Marblechips who won on the night and good luck to them in the final...we'll be supporting ye all the way!!

Marble chips
a fab band from Ennis Co. Clare, describe themselves as 'a mixed bag of nuts'. They write their own songs, are brillant live and clearly have a sense of humour. Whats not to love?
David O'Sullivan on drums, Eoghan McMahen on guitar, Tim Bergain on bass, singer Mathew Casey and Ivan Welaratne on guitar and synthesiser. These lads have got talent way beyond there (17) years. Trust me, these guys are going to be HUGE! Think loudness, stage dives, juvenile humour and all round niceness.
