Alternate is a four piece punk/punk-rock band from Wexford town. The band started off when Chris decided to make a new band because they thought the punk in Wexford was very un punk like. he got Mark in on Bass, Conor in on lead Guitar and Paddy in on drums and from then on its been a great time! We are in the process of writing alot of originals and are bringing out a self published EP. If you know of any gigs for us to play leave us a comment!

Alternate have many different influences. I will list just a few, Green Day, blink-182, Sum41, Foo Fighters, The Clash, The Ramones, Gallows, Nirvana, Rise Against, Box car racer, NOFX, Sex Pistols, Manic Street Preachers and Fall Out Boy!

The Regional Finals are soon approaching!!! With some of the most impressive band showcasing their tallents it looks as though it will be an amasing gig!!! With two of our own band's ,Spitvalve and Mucky's Wall' among two of the very talented line up!!!So if you just so happen to be in Cork this weekend please come and check out our bands!!!With already a staggering amount of interest there is sure to be a great turn out!!It's taking place this Sunday the 6th of april in The Halfmoon Theatre in Cork City!
